Innovate is coming up 3rd- 4th July 2004, and it is situated in Winchester this year. It is a forum for young women aged 16 to 25 to voice their opinions on GirlGuiding and to have fun and meet others of the same age. If you would like to go, check out the guiding website, but numbers are limited so hurry up. It is heavily subscribed!! Campdowne is coming up also in July. The dates are 29th July to 7th August 2004. This jamboree is attended by Scouts and Guides from all over the world and is very popular and only happens every four years. It is on Downe campsite, which is near London in England.

Our numbers have gone up considerably, this term with many new additions from our promotional cocktail party! However we have lost two of our members to university, (one being me!)

Five rangers went bowling!!!
we got straight onto a lane and didnt pay the full price as one of our members had contacts!!! £8 for two games! wow!!!
it was a tense game and the bumpers were up so we couldnt fail to get high scores. hey wait a minute yes we could.
the first game was won with 113 points- pretty good and the second was won with a whopping 133 points by our new recruit!!
Non Alcoholic Cocktail Party!!!!!!!!!!
On 15th July 2003 Lamorbey Rangers held a cocktail party including little games and cocktails made from various juices. We promoted rangers and invited some of the older guides from our area to visit us. We hoped that they enjoyed it and decide to come to rangers!
We have had a possible four new recruits as a result of this evening. hurrah and welcome to rangers!!!!

What have we done recently....
The Ranger pantomime- The Night before the Night Before Christmas
This was a huge success and we raised lots and lots of money. Well done (power) rangers What we havent done recently....
Big Gig 2003
Well we didnt do this because there werent enough tickets this year!
Miles in the past we did this....
in 2002 we went to BIG GIG, a concert for all those in Guiding. Bands there included Darius, BLUE!!!, Atomic Kitten, D-Side, Mysteeq, the one from pop idol who sang the eurovision song!, and many more!!!
In the past we have also done a Monopoly run. We were sponsored to go to all the places that are on a monopoly board in one day using public transport. It was a really fun day.
Three christmases ago, we cooked our own christmas dinner, which proved quite difficult!
More recently, in the Spring term of 2003, we have put on a very successful pantomime- Aladdin, which took a lot of work in the autumn term of 2002, but we raised a lot of money as a result and it was all very worthwhile.
We have done consumer taste tests, where we bought loads of chocolate and tasted it. Afterwards we all felt quite sick!!!
In the summer term of 2003, we are decorated plant pots, never got round to planting plants in them!!!, having a cocktail party (of the non-alcoholic sort), and we invited older guides to try our rangers and see how great our evenings actually are!!!
