The three phases
As I have said, there are three phases to each octant.
For phase one you must complete three challenges. These can be small things just that you can experience the octants for a short time.
For phase two, this will take a little longer and more thought needs to go into it. This requires about three months and has to be a bit harder than phase one and possibly taking one of the activities a bit further.
For phase three it is very tough. It normally means gaining a qualification in the phase or doing something really outstanding!
If you complete all three phases you gain an octant certificate.
If you complete two phases from every octant you will receive the Chief Guide's Challenge, which is a colourful badge.
